General

The Vox Starstream Type 1 Plus may look like a standard, if not unique mahogany-bodied guitar, it's actually an entire modelling system built with impeccable balance, stunning aesthetics and the ultimate in tonal flexibility offered by the AREOS-D modelling system. This instrument plays like a high quality electric guitar while realistically emulating both acoustic as well as electric guitar models; synthesizers and other string instruments. This truly incredible guitar is an extensive writing tool that also excels on stage.

The Starstream Type 1 Plus: Fully Passive Mode and Piëzo Pickups

That Vox really does listen to their fans is made clear by the inclusion of a fully passive mode so that the Starstream can also be played as a traditional electric guitar without requiring battery power, and this is where the tonal character of the mahogany body actually gets a bit magic. Meanwhile, in fully active mode, magnetic pickups convert natural tone into authentic electric sounds while a piëzo pickup system supports the faithful emulation of acoustic models, all managed and balanced by a smart DSP chip that provides interference and latency free signal while dishing out the effects and emulations.

Ergonomic and Ultra-Modern Features

What's immediately striking about the Starstream Type 1 Plus is the 3D design and the outstandingly balanced and ergonomic feel. The form sits comfortably against the body while the unique frame mimics standard deep cutaways for ease of access to the highest frets. The C-shaped neck is just as comfortable and a mounted two-post tremolo system feels pleasantly smooth and finishes one of the only instruments in existence that's genuinely taking a step forward.
