General

The Vintage VS6 in Cherry Red is inspired by the famous SG models from the '60s. It has the same distinctive looks with its own unique twists. The two sharp horns are asymmetrical for a more streamlined look, and give you easier access to the higher frets. This model is equipped with good-quality Wilkinson components that don't just look the part, they are reliable and sound good too! Once you've got this baby in your hands, you'd swear you were playing a guitar in a higher price class.

Vintage VS6 Cherry Red: Full sound

Beneath the transparent red lacquer is a thin, lightweight mahogany body with elegant and comfortable bevelled edges. The neck of the Vintage VS6 is also made of mahogany and is set in to the body for better tone and sustain. With this method of construction, in combination with the wood type used, you get a full sound with sweet mids and rounded trebles. The two Wilkinson Alnico humbucker pickups have a medium output and deliver a classic rock sound reminiscent of AC/DC. Turning the volume down and switching to the neck pickup gives you a more sultry bluesy tone.

The Vintage brand

Vintage Guitars started out as a budget brand that somewhat justifiably garnered a number of negative reviews. However, that changed drastically when Trevor Wilkinson, famed for his affordable yet high-quality guitar parts, attached his name to the Vintage brand. Not only did Vintage's hardware division receive a shot of quality, the wood selection and construction methods were also vastly improved. Since then, Vintage has made a name for itself by offering excellent value for money, and now more than holds its own among the ferocious competition in this price range.

Wrote the following about Vintage VS6 Cherry Red electric guitar

Wat een prachtige gitaar met een goeie bluesy/jazzy sound maar ook rock schuwt ie niet. Neigt een beetje naar jaren 70 geluid maar wel erg prettig om te horen.
De balans is erg goed en de hals is precies goed van formaat en vorm voor de handen van een gozer van 15 (mijn zoon dus).
Na er lang voor gespaard te hebben, had hij het geld bij elkaar en konden we hem dan eindelijk bestellen.
Voor maar 2,95 extra werd de gitaar zelf op zondag afgeleverd en kon mijn zoon er de rest van de dag zich flink op uitleven.
Hij heeft nu zijn eigen Lucille!!!
Tevens is de hele bestelprocedure (bestellen, afleveren, de verpakking en de administratie) perfect in orde dus als hij weer genoeg gespaard heeft, kan hij zijn nieuwe versterker ook bij Bax-shop bestellen!!!
