General
Where the Vintage V6 is a great and affordable alternative to the famous ST-model, the V6M24VG is the same for the Super-STs. It features an alder body, a maple neck, a 24-fret maple fretboard, and Wilkinson hardware and electronics. Everything about this guitar was optimised for quick shredding. For instance, the back of the body is shaped in such a way that you can better reach the highest frets on the neck. Furthermore, to ensure the guitar stays in tune, even when you use the tremolo quite heavily, the headstock is fitted with locking tuners. To top it all off, this Vintage V6 Reissued Super-ST features a striking Ventura Green finish.
V6M24VG: built to perform
The V6M24VG is a quintessential Super-ST. Its alder body gives it a warm and well-balanced core sound, which the maple fretboard further enhances with beautiful, shimmering trebles. Of course, this guitar features two humbuckers that allow for powerful lows and plenty of highs. Like any Super-ST worth its salt, this guitar was stripped of all superfluous luxury features. You won't find an additional single-coil pickup in the middle, or split-coil functionality on this guitar. No, this instrument was built to be played fast, and it's built to be played hard. To further emphasise that fact and show that it means business, the Vintage superstrat features a striking green finish.
The Vintage brand
Vintage's history can be roughly divided into two periods. In the early days, they made cheap copies that lived up to all the negative stereotypes about low-budget instruments. However, that changed drastically when Trevor Wilkinson, famed for his affordable yet high-quality guitar parts, attached his name to the Vintage brand. Not only did Vintage's hardware division receive a shot of quality, the wood selection and construction methods were also vastly improved. Since then, Vintage have become known for their excellent price to quality ratio. The brand has certainly been holding its own among the ferocious competition in this price range.

Qua geluid mag je voor dit geld geen wonder verwachten. De stock pickups klinken ok, maar er zit weinig diepte en helderheid in als je met een randje speelt. Deze gaan in mijn geval vervangen worden voor betere. Ook de tuners en de nut krijgen een upgrade in mijn geval.
Zoek je een goede player waarbij de basis in orde is, en die er vet uitziet? Dan heb je met deze gitaar een hele goede. Een paar upgrades en je hebt een top instrument.
