It may be clear that the V100GT is modelled after the American single-cut model. Fortunately, it's price is much lower than that of the original. Make no mistake however, because despite its modest price, this is a full-grown guitar that is bound to appeal to fully grown guitarists. Especially considering its price, this guitar's specs are nothing short of impressive. For instance, the V100GT has a solid mahogany body with an arched mahogany top, and is fitted with pickups and hardware designed by Trevor Wilkinson. Wilkinson is a household name in the guitar-making scene, and his hardware and pickups are renowned for their excellent price to quality ratio.

Construction

On the V100 GT, the iconic single-cut body features a comfortably bevelled heel, which allows you to reach even the highest frets with ease. The mahogany body and set-in neck ensure a warm tone with plenty of sustain, while the two ceramic P-90 single-coils handle the amplification excellently. These pickups are more powerful than standard single-coils and offer more sparkle than a humbucker, making the guitar suited for many types of music, ranging from smooth jazz and blues to raw punk rock. In the hardware and tone departments, this Vintage carefully follows the American example's blueprints.

The Vintage brand

Vintage's history can be roughly divided into two periods. In their early days, they made cheap, hardly noticeable copies of American originals. This drastically changed when Trevor Wilkinson - known for making high-quality guitar components and the high-end Fret King guitars - tied his name to the brand. Not only did Vintage's hardware division receive a shot of quality, the wood selection and construction methods were also vastly improved. Since then, Vintage have become known for their excellent price to quality ratio. The brand has been holding its own among the ferocious competition in this price range.
