General
The Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster is a vintage-style Stratocaster by Fender affiliate Squier. Yet again, Squier offers the serious beginner guitarist a great sound at an affordable price with this electric guitar. This famous Fender model has a classic 3-colour sunburst finish and three Duncan Designed SC-101 single-coil pickups that give this guitar its rich, graceful tone with those deliciously nasal sounds, when the pickup switch is in mid-position.
A classic Strat
The Stratocaster might just be the most popular guitar ever built and was inspired by the successful Fender Telecaster. One of the most important differences between these guitars is that the Strat has three (instead of two) pickups and a tremolo bridge that allows this all-round instrument to produce a wide range of different sounds. This Vintage Modified Stratocaster has three single-coil pickups, a vintage-style tremolo bridge and arm with a vintage-tint high-gloss neck and a large '70s-style headstock.
The Squier brand
Together with the Precision and Jazz bass guitars, the Stratocaster and Telecaster are the most famous Fender models. Many manufacturers have tried to imitate them, in various price ranges. In order to be able to provide a reliable and attractive alternative for beginners themselves, Fender started their subsidiary Squier in 1982. Squier guitars and bass guitars are built according to specifications made by, and under supervision of Fender.

Ik heb deze gitaar een paar weken geleden gekocht en ben helemaal tevreden, er komt een mooi geluid uit en alle elementen klinken goed. De hals is niet te dik en hij speelt ook erg fijn.
Hij moet alleen nog een beetje afgesteld worden, maar dat moet met iedere gitaar.
De kwaliteit ligt net onder het niveau van een echte Fender waar je gelijk het dubbele voor zou moeten betalen,qua uiterlijk is hij precies hetzelfde als een echte Fender.
Zeker als je niet teveel geld wilt uitgeven is dit een erg goede keuze.
Ik was al een tijd op zoek naar een gitaar met single coil pickups om eens een ander geluid uit te proberen. De Strat is een van de meest iconische gitaren ooit gebouwd en dus ben ik verschillende modellen gaan vergelijken van Squier en Fender zelf in de prijsklasse 200-500 euro.
Allereerst vind ik persoonlijk de sunburst afwerking prachtig, evenals de zorg die is gestoken in de verdere looks. Hij ligt door de cut-away aan de achterkant lekker tegen het lichaam en de hals is fijn bespeelbaar.
Qua geluid overtrof deze Strat alle andere Squier modellen, maar zelfs de goedkopere Fender modellen konden zich niet meten met deze uitvoering. De Duncan Designed Pickups zijn een geweldige keuze in deze gitaar met een geluid waar je U tegen zegt. De halspickup geeft een heerlijke, beetje schelle, sound zoals je van graag uit een elektrische gitaar wilt horen. De middelste pickup is warm en een beetje relaxed , ideaal voor wat rustigere nummers. De brug pickup tenslotte geeft een stuk meer output en klinkt over mijn buizenversterker zelfs alsof er al een beetje overdrive onder zit.
Ik ben zeer tevreden met deze gitaar en raad hem zeker aan voor iedereen die een geweldige Stratocaster voor een zeer mooie prijs wil aanschaffen. Laat je zeker niet misleiden doordat het een Squier is in plaats van een Fender, want dit zou wel eens de gitaar kunnen zijn die je zoekt.
