This attractively-priced Squier Classic Vibe 70s Telecaster Thinline is based on the legendary model that Fender introduced in 1972. It has an authentic look thanks to the F hole in its semi-hollow body, its polyurethane finish, the vintage tint on its neck and its pearloid pickguard.

Classic Vibe 70s Telecaster Thinline: full sound with bite

This Tele is armed with two Fender Designed Wide Range humbucker pickups that ensure it delivers a full sound with plenty of bite. In essence, you're getting the best of a humbucker and single-coil pickup in one and thanks to the volume and tone potentiometers along with the 3-way pickup switch, you have a wide variety of tones at your fingertips. Speaking of fingers, the maple neck has a C profile, while the fretboard has a flatter, 9.5-inch radius and narrow, tall frets for excellent playing comfort.

Beautiful guitar but the amp cable falls out of it all the time. I think it’s faulty and it’s disappointing after spending so much on a guitar. Otherwise it’s amazing.

Wat meteen opvalt bij deze mooie gitaar is dat de hals zo makkelijk te bespelen is.
Ook zonder versterker klinkt die lekker luid en sprankelend, met versterking komen
de elementen volkomen tot hun recht. Je kan alle kanten op met deze gitaar.
Het enige minpuntje is de afwerking van de fretten, die steken iets uit aan de zijkant
en ze zijn vrij hoog. Dat is opgelost door ze te laten polijsten en afvlakken.
Nu speelt de thinline zo fijn, super tevreden !

Ruim anderhalve maand geleden deze beauty besteld, stond toen leverbaar in 4 dagen. Dat is helaas niet gelukt en heeft ruim langer geduurd dan aangegeven.
Wat betreft de thinline, die heb ik inmiddels een week in huis en flink aan de tand kunnen voelen. Mooie aparte klank die tussen singlecoil en humbucker in zit. Ook onversterkt heeft de gitaar een redelijk volume vergeleken met een solid body (deze is chambered). De hals is iets dikker dan ik verwachtte, maar de bespeelbaarheid is erg goed (vintage feel). De 9,5 inch fretboard radius vind ik persoonlijk een hele fijne, niet te plat, niet te rond. Afstelling uit de doos is heel behoorlijk. Het lakwerk is netjes, de hardware is zichtbaar wat goedkoper, maar zeker bruikbaar en natuurlijk kan e.e.a. met de tijd geupgrade worden. Kortom een hele fijne gitaar voor deze prijs!
Alleen geef ik geen 5 sterren maar 4 omdat de afwerking van de frets wel wat te wensen over liet. Ze voelen erg ruw bij push-ups. Dit is wel op te lossen door ze te polijsten maar eigenlijk vind ik dat zoiets niet nodig moet zijn bij een nieuwe gitaar.
