General

The Lake Placid Blue Squier Affinity Stratocaster RW is a Strat by Squier, Fender's daughter company, and has an unrivalled price/quality ratio for serious starting guitarists and advanced players. The Affinity Strat is a minute copy of the famous Stratocaster and features a properly resonant body, three clear-sounding single-coil pickups and a tremolo bridge for subtle vibrato effects. This version has a dark rosewood fretboard, for a rounder sound.

The Squier brand

The Stratocaster and Telecaster electric guitars and Precision bass guitars are Fender's best known models and have been copied by many. Fender wanted to be able to provide their own reliable and attractive alternative and started a subsidiary in 1982: Squier. Squier guitars and bass guitars are built according to specifications made by, and under supervision of Fender.
