General

Squier present the Affinity Series Telecaster Deluxe: a premium yet affordable spin on the classic Tele loaded with a pair of fat-sounding ceramic humbuckers and standard-issue electronics consisting of a 3-way switch and volume-and-tone pots per pickup. This set-up opens up a huge range of rich double-coil sounds - some of which it shares with the now-vintage '70s models - while the body comes finished with C-profile maple neck and a belly-cut in the lightweight TE-style body. In terms of dependable hardware, you're getting sealed split-shaft tuners and a fixed string-through body bridge with six saddles that team up to ensure great tuning stability.

Deze gitaar heb ik gekocht nadat mijn oude gitaar van 15 jaar niet meer gebruikt kan worden voor het spelen van hoge tonen. Het is alsof het voor mij gemaakt is. Al is dit geen top of the line Fender, het is een een schoonheid. De pickups zijn perfect en helder. De action bij bridge en fret neck hoef je helemaal niet af te stellen, althans voor mij tenminste. Het veranderen van pickup gebruik met de schakelaar werkt perfect. Het verschil in de tonen van de neck pickup en bridge pickup hoor je duidelijk. Wanneer je de gitaar speelt met blues effecten is dit duidelijk te merken. De gitaar voelt stevig aan en de neck maakt het heerlijk om mee te spelen.

Topgitaar voor de prijs! Ik heb hem nu al anderhalf jaar en nog steeds geen klachten. Klinkt goed, zelfs akoestisch verbazend luid en aangename klank, wat voor mij een pluspunt is aangezien ik niet altijd met versterker speel. Daarnaast voelt hij ook top, de satijnen nek samen met de belly cut maken het zeer aangenaam en bespeelbaar. De kleur in het echt is prachtig en alle hardware voelt goed (de pickup switch, tuners, knoppen, ...). Eens je zelf wat werk doet zoals de snaren wat lager zetten, truss rod perfect zetten, intonatie, nieuwe snaren en lemon oil op het fretboard voelt de gitaar echt een pak duurder dan hij is. Dit is zeker niet nodig maar als je de gitaar een niveau hoger wil tillen maakt dit wel degelijk een merkbaar verschil (zal je niet veel kosten naast wat moeite en opzoekwerk). Over de pickups ook absoluut geen klachten, de humbuckers klinken heel goed, ook clean (wat normaal bij goedkopere gitaren niet het geval is).
