General
The Sire Larry Carlton L5 has the all-natural look of an electric guitar from the 1950s. Featuring a single-cut solid-body carved out of swamp ash, the L5 combines low-key elegance with a clear foundation sound and comes fitted with a bolt-on maple neck that's been finished with a classic C-profile and an edgeless fretboard with a 12-inch radius for a satisfyingly smooth playing feel.
The Larry Carlton L5: Fresh and Twangy Sounds
To ensure a broad range of fresh-and-twangy sounds, Sire and the illustrious Larry Carlton have gone with three Lipstick Tube Single Coil pickups, which are backed up by a 5-way pickup switch and a set of volume and tone controls so you can extensively vary the different core sounds. In terms of hardware, you're looking at a stable Tune-O-Matic bridge with a string-through-body design for a bit of extra sustain.
