General

Schecter and John Browne drop the TAO-8: an eight-string signature electric guitar built to support the impressively tight rhythms of the Monuments guitarist. Featuring Browne's preferred specifications, the TAO-8 has a highly resonant, lightweight swamp ash body that's been secured to a 5-piece wenge/padauk neck that not only features an ultra-thin U profile, but an ebony fretboard that's been kept free of position markers to keep the looks tight-and-clean. That said, Schecter have lined the side of the fretboard with luminlay dots so you can effortlessly navigate all twenty-four X-Jumbo frets in the dark.

Schecter USA Colossus and Chaosbreaker Pickups for Ultimate Sonic Versatility

Purpose-developed for the John Browne TAO-8, the Schecter USA Colossus and Chaosbreaker pickups are exceptionally versatile and can be steered in any tonal direction with the fitted 3-way pickup switch and the single push/pull master volume pot. Set to epic riff mode by default, both humbuckers can also be coil-split via the volume control to open up a can of tasty S-style sounds. Meanwhile, the Hipshot Grip-Lock tuners team up with a fixed Hipshot bridge to keep the tuning in check, and carbon rods reinforce the neck to counter the potentially de-stabilising effect of temperature and humidity fluctuations - a thoughtful finishing touch.
