The JS-300: Highly Versatile

As befits an ST-style guitar, the basswood body of the JS-300 is armed with three, passive ceramic single-coil pickups that, combined with the 5-way switch and double tone controls, can bring out a huge variety of sounds. As such, this brilliant beginner model can be played in practically any style and even comes finished with a tremolo bridge and real bone string nut for increased tuning stability and solid vibrational transference.

Recently had to sell my American Standard fender Strat to free up some funds and I needed a budget alternative. I cannot believe how good this guitar is for the money. I expected to have to swap out the pickups but they are surprisingly musical and the electronics all work perfectly fine too. heb in Amsterdam deze gitaar vergeleken met een fender player series en ter verbazing speelde de fender maar een haartje beter dan de Jet. de Jet vondt ik al de mooiere en het geluid vondt ik ook fijner, en vergeleken met de prijs was de keus eigelijk al snel gemaakt. wonderbaarlijk hoe ze voor dit geld zo een kwaliteit op de markt kunnen bregen, had er wel dubbel zoveel geld voor betaald als het nodig was!

en wil je het echte fender geluid gooi je er simpelweg wat originele fender pickups in.
en de roasted maple neck is echt schitterend!

Wrote the following about JET Guitars JS-300 Black Electric Guitar

Deze gitaar gekocht op basis van review van youtuber Dave Simpson. Ik zat te twijfelen tussen deze en een harley benton. Omdat deze youtuber ook echt speelt ( en ook wel veel l*lt), heb ik zijn review wat serieuzer genomen. Hij had het over de nek die breder zou zijn bij de Harley Benton en dat deze lekker aanvoelt.

Nu ik erop gespeeld heb, de nek is wat dikker dan ik gewend ben. Ik heb een Epiphone Les Paul studio uit de '90 -er jaren ergens. Maakt me niks uit, de nek voelt waanzinnig lekker en zeer comfortabel aan. Ik denk dat een Harley Benton mij ook prima had gelegen. De radius van de nek is kleiner dan mijn LP, lekker belangenrijk. Speelt lekker. Wat ik wil zeggen: Als je reviews van youtubers kijkt, kan het makkelijk zijn dat de kritiek op de radius etc. niet belangenrijk voor je is.

Laatst een Squier Classic Vibe voor mijn zoon gekocht, niet op kunnen spelen, want hij is linkshandig en ik niet. De afwerking van de frets en de nek komt kwalitatief beter over dan de Squier. De schakelaar voor de pick-ups klikt lekker stevig. Al zal het technisch gezien net het beste zijn, dat kan niet voor dit geld.

Ik vind deze gitaar zeker de moeite waard. Ik zocht een gitaar met de strat quack, dat heeft deze wel. Ik heb wel het idee dat dit nog meer zou kunnen, maar ik ben geen expert. Bovendien maakt het heeeel veel uit op welke hoogte de pickups zitten en daar heb ik nog niet veel mee gedaan. De kwaliteit voor dit geld is echt niet te geloven zo goed. Het lastige aan deze gitaar is er eentje te pakken te krijgen...
