General

Heavy, heavier, heaviest: the Jackson Soloist SLA6 DX might as well be stamped with the motto, since this baritone behemoth bears the extended 26.5 inch scale length needed to support deep, bone-shaking tunings. The classic, timeless shape of the nyatoh body is further refined by an arched top while the superbly stable neck-through-construction provides excellent balance and boosted sustain. The compound fretboard radius, meanwhile, smoothly progresses from a flat 12 inches at the headstock to a flatter 16 inches at the body, granting the fret-hand a flowing, agile feel whether grabbing chords or licks. An active EMG 81 and EMG 85 pickup have been teamed up to provide a stomping sonic foundation, supporting ultra-tight rhythms and blistering leads, and to finish, firm tuning and maximum resonance is assured by a string-through-body hardtail bridge.
