General
Synonymous with high-grade, high-performance, and progressive guitars, Jackson smash it again with the Soloist SL3XM DX: expect a future-focussed, chic build for the multifaceted guitarist. The ST-style body has been hewn from poplar, and while it looks a touch familiar, has been given an unshakably stable and highly resonant neck-through construction. Just to be sure, the maple neck has also been reinforced with graphite to reduce sensitivity to temperature and humidity and prevent warping, and has been set up with a vast 24-fret range and a set of Jackson-signature sharkfin fretboard inlays, while the compound radius starts at a round and snug 12 inches at the headstock and ends at a flat and fluid 16 inches at the body.
The Ultimate Balance of Duncan Designed Pickups
To give the aesthetically superior Soloist SL3XM matching, superior tone, a set of Duncan Designed pickups has been mounted, so at the bridge, you get the full power and warmth of a HB-103B humbucker, which is complimented by two Seymour Duncan Hot Rails single-coils - one in the middle and one at the neck. The immense spectrum that this combo unleashes is controlled via a five-way selector switch and a volume and tone pot, while the lowered Floyd Rose Special bridge and Locking nut lay down solid tuning no matter how extreme the tremolo-arm-trickery gets. The hardware of this detailed electric guitar has been finished in black and the Jackson standard-issue pointed headstock is finished with a white logo.
