General

The future-thinking Jackson Soloist SL1X is a solid step into hi-tech guitar building. Fresh technology and innovative materials have been mashed up with traditional style to produce a truly modern electric guitar. The poplar body is lightweight, beautifully balanced and boasts the enhanced resonance and elevated sustain of a seamless neck-through-body construction where the neck has been reinforced with graphite to reduce temperature and humidity sensitivity for maximum stability. The laurel fretboard has been given a compound radius that graduates smoothly from 12 inches to 16 inches, ensuring a snug grip near the headstock and fast and fluid note grabbing closer to the body, while 24 jumbo frets support a lighter touch and prevents fret-hand fatigue.

High-Output, Seymour Duncan Design Pickups

The Soloist SL1X comes equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan pickups, so this model has been treated to the high-gain definition of a Hot-Rails single-coil in both the neck and middle position, and the powerful yet warm and dynamic response of a HR-101 humbucker at the bridge. This set-up has been coupled with a five-way selector switch planted in just the right place so you can call-up just the right pickup combo at just the right moment. Death-defying dive-bombs and more subtle tremolo-arm tricks can be performed with smooth ease thanks to the solid, stable tuning provided by the lowered Floyd Rose Special bridge and matching locking nut. From the flat finish to the pointed headstock and zebra-style open-core humbucker, this truly contemporary model breathes genuine Jackson DNA.
