General

Do you lack the funds for an American Jackson Soloist? Not to worry, as Jackson has the X Series. This series offers a range of budget-friendly versions of the popular shredding guitars. The Soloist SLX, with the striking Taxi Cab Yellow colour, looks exactly like the original. It's price, however, is just a fraction of the original's. Just like its brothers, this guitar has a neck-through-body construction with a very deeply cut heel. This allows for effortless soloing up until the 24th fret. Two Duncan Designed humbuckers and a Floyd Rose, what more could you want?
Features of the Jackson Soloist SLX Taxi Cab Yellow
The neck of the Soloist SLX is made of maple and runs through the entire length of the basswood body. This construction provides a tighter, more direct sound and lots of sustain. The neck has been reinforced with two graphite rods for maximum strength and stability. The fretboard is made of rosewood with typical Jackson shark fin inlays and bindings around it. These bindings continue towards the headstock which gives this guitar its authentic eighties Soloist looks. Thanks to the Duncan Designed pickups you can create anything you like, from cleans to heavy distortions and with the Floyd Rose Special tremolo bridge you can make dive bombs as low as you want while keeping in tune at all times.
Compound-radius fretboard
The fretboard of the Soloist SLX has a compound radius, just like the more expensive Jacksons. This means that the fretboard is rather round at the lower positions (12 inches) but flattens towards the body to 16 inches. As a result, you can comfortably play barre chords and open chords on the lower positions of the neck. You’ll also find that, even with a super low action, you’ll still be able to bend the strings at higher positions easily without any buzzing or loss of notes.
