In addition to the pricey TAM100, Ibanez also offers this TAM10-WH Tosin Abasi signature guitar. With its eight strings, this instrument is rather impressive. Abasi is founder and guitarist of the instrumental progressive metal band Animals as Leaders and uses all of his eight strings intensively. With this TAM10-WH, it becomes really easy to follow in Abasi's footsteps. This appealing white signature has a tortoise-style pickguard.
TAM10-WH: neck, fretboard and bridge
The neck of this guitar is the special TAM8, that meets all Abasi's requirements. The fretboard is made of rosewood and has white, offset position markers. The 24 jumbo-sized frets are not for the faint-hearted. If you want to employ the eight strings to their fullest potential, it might be a good idea to practise regularly. The bridge of the TAM10 is a Gibraltar Standard II-8 bridge, a reliable fixed bridge that has been designed for maximum stability in terms of sound and tuning, and for a good body connection.

The Ionizer 8 pickups were specifically designed for Tosin Abasi, bearing in mind his demanding playing style on all eight strings. The Ionizers pick up everything and provide warm, open sound that is similar to that of a vintage humbucker but also as tight and solid as a metal pickup. When you use the coil-tap switch to turn to split mode, you can make the pickups work like classic single coils.
