General

This heavy-duty Ibanez 7-string RGIM7MH-WK from the Iron Label series has a Weathered Black finish and fanned frets, also known as multi-scale, which means the scale length goes from 25.5 to 27 inches. This ensures thicker strings get enough tension for a good tone while the thinner strings maintain their integrity and remain easy to press down as well.

Ibanez RGIM7MH-WK: stable, balanced, and fast

In order to maintain the tuning stability of this Ibanez Iron Label, it's been equipped with a fixed Mono-rail bridge with precisely-positioned saddles. The RGIM7 offers a bright, solid sound with a rounded bite because of the mahogany body and bolted-on 5-piece maple and bubinga neck. For even higher playing comfort, the neck has a Nitro Wizard-7 profile and 24 jumbo frets on a modern, rosewood flat fretboard with a 15.74-inch radius. This means both chords and melodies are a breeze on this 7-string RG solidbody.

EMG 808

Thanks to a set of pickups by EMG, you're in good shape with this Iron Label guitar. It has 808 humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions which ensure that all seven string sounds as good as they possibly can. EMG 808 is a type of pickup especially-designed for 8-string guitars. The last two strings sound especially tight and clear, while other pickups tend to make them sound muddy. The Ibanez RGIM7MH-WK Iron Label Multi Scale in Weathered Black is particularly suitable for metal, but experimental jazz guitarists are sure to appreciate it too!
