General

Not every 7-string guitar offers consistent sound in lower tunings. Fortunately, the Ibanez RGD7521PB is the kind of long-scale-length solid-body that does. In fact, it's made for beautifully deep tone and features an ultra-robust fixed bridge and a 26.5" scale length. Ibanez even sends every example off in an ADGCFAD tuning (full step down), and have not only done a little extra contouring to the body but included a cutaway and fitted a thin, fast-feeling Wizard II-7 neck for maximum playing comfort. The two DiMarzio PAF humbucker come alongside standard electronics for a wide range of warm, sweet and accurately amplified sounds while, via the coil-tap switch, you can explore an equal number of single-coil-style sounds. Add it all up, and you get a dependable 7-string axe that's capable of many great things.
