General

The RG1027 is an electric guitar from Ibanez' Premium series with a poplar burl top and a beautiful Cerulean Blue Burst finish. The stable bolt-on neck is made from no fewer than eleven pieces of four exotic wood types: wenge, bubinga, maple and purpleheart. Unusually, the fretboard is made of wenge. The combination of wood types used in its construction give the RG1027 a sound with prominent mid tones and lively harmonic overtones. The classic warm, round sound is amplified transparently thanks to two DiMarzio PAF 7 humbuckers. This model is ideal for guitarists looking for a 7-string model with vintage-sounding low gain.
