General
The high-spec, Natural Flat finished Ibanez Prestige Series RGDR4427FX-NTF 7-string makes no compromises on its pro-grade playability and aesthetics. This precision-built model has an ash body topped with richlite, striking a stunning contrasts with the bare wood and uniquely complex grain of the ash bevelling. The Ibanez RGDR comes complete with a case and multi-tool.
The Prestige RGDR4427FX-NTF: Japanese Art
As you would only expect of a Prestige Series model, every detail has been finished with meticulous care. The 24 jumbo frets have been given the Prestige fret-edge treatment to make absolutely certain that no burrs or rough edges can be found along the length of the macassar ebony fretboard, while the 15.75" fretboard radius is remarkably flat and lends itself beautifully to defined and complex tapping techniques. Another excellent and ever welcome bonus is the set of Gotoh MG-T locking tuners that not only solidify tuning, but speed up the whole re-stringing process.
DiMarzio Fusion Edge-7 Pickups
Like every RGD guitar, this 7-string has a longer-than-average 26.5" scale length so it can comfortably handle lower tunings, and even comes pre-tuned in A. The longer neck also raises the string tension, making complex rhythms and leads feel snug and tight, and topping it off, is a solid and potent pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge-7 pickups that have been specifically voiced to maintain accurate definition at a lower pitch alongside adaptable, wide-ranging tone.
