The Japanese masters have done it yet again. With the capable help of Seymour Duncan and Gotoh, the Prestige Series AZ2204 superstrat has been developed to meet the needs of every contemporary guitarist. This incredibly consistent and utterly dependable instrument has a look, feel and sound that might as well breathe style. A set of three Seymour Duncan Alnico-5 pickups are mounted in an HSS configuration and maintain optimal balance and transparency whether clean or overdriven. The electronics are steered by the dyna-MIX9 system and can be flipped through no less than nine settings, giving some idea of the tonal range that the character-saturated AZ2204 is capable of.
Stupidly-Stable and Insane Playability
Having undergone the very special S-Tech Roasted treatment, the maple neck and fretboard has an elegant look and elevated features. This process enhances durability and resistance to temperature and moisture fluctuations, giving the AZ2204 its insane level of tuning stability, tonal balance and extra sustain - all supported by a set of premium Gotoh locking tuners. The Oval-C profile of the neck sits snug in the palm and the softly rounded edges of the fretboard makes playing irresistibly supple while the elegantly contoured body only adds to the superb playing comfort.

Zo uit de doos is alles perfect afgesteld.

Hals is uitstekend. Voelt fijn aan. Ik weet het dit is subjectief. Probeer het uit. Voor mij is het een 10.
Geluid is top met veel mogelijkheden. 10 punten
Gewicht is gering en gitaar is prima in balans. 10 punten.
Ben lang aan het dubben geweest of ik een Yamaha Pacifica standard plus zou kopen of de Ibanez prestige. Beide zijn prima gitaren. Ik vind de hals van Ibanez echter fijner.
De Ibanez is voorzien van een mooie koffer met een nieuw slot type. De Pacifica heeft geen koffer.
Ik kon de Ibanez ook voor een mooie prijs bij BAX aanschaffen.
Ik bezit ook een Yamaha Pacifica 612 VM II. Prima gitaar maar de Ibanez is toch echt een stapje omhoog.
Als je het jezelf kunt veroorloven koop dan de Ibanez. De Ibanez is eke cent waard en je zult er geen spijt van krijgen. Top gitaar waar je nog jaren plezier aan zult beleven.
