A thick and solid Ibanez HSH configuration reinforced by the ultra-varied output of Premium Series electronics and the supreme playability of masterful, Japanese build quality: the Ibanez AZ47P1QM electric guitar offers plenty in return for your hard-earned cash. Naturally, you get the legendary tone of a full DiMarzio-designed pickup set, where the Tone Zone humbucker at the bridge delivers high-gain double-coil sound, the Air Norton humbucker at the neck lays on harmonic richness, and the True Velvet in the middle spits vintage-flavoured single-coil bite. Even with just a five-way switch, this setup already supplies an immense sonic array.

The Ibanez AZ47P1QM: Premium Construction, Comfort & Tuning

It's not just the gold-plated hardware or the liquid-look of the quilted maple top that lend this Ibanez offering its distinct Premium Series flair, but the expert construction and detailing. The American basswood body lays down a powerful and hefty foundation sound and has been coupled with a super-stable bolt-on roasted maple neck that boasts the agile playing feel of an oval C-profile and oiled finish. A set of highly-durable stainless-steel frets lighten the load on the fret hand to support near-effortless lead and rhythm work, while the smooth action of the Gotoh T1502 tremolo bridge is harnessed to inject rapid, subtle vibratos. The set of Gotoh MG-T locking tuners don't just speed up string changes either, but have been teamed up with a Graph Tech nut to ensure outstanding tuning stability.
