General
Japanese brand Ibanez offers many Steve Vai signature guitar models that are all recognisable thanks to some unique features. The JEM77WDP CNL Premium Steve Vai has a Charcoal Brown Low Gloss finish with a parchment-coloured pickguard, tree of life inlay on the fretboard and engraved humbuckers. A custom case is included too.
JEM77WDP: good wood
The look is only half the story, of course. Naturally, the sound is the most important factor of any guitar and this model excels in that department thanks to quality of the wood types and components used in its construction. It has a mahogany body that produces a full sound and the rosewood fretboard adds a touch of warmth. The comfortable, slim neck is made of maple and walnut and reinforced with titanium. The JEM77WDP is equipped to three DiMarzio Dark Matter 2 pickups that deliver a sound worthy of Steve Vai himself.

Het geluid is absoluut geweldig , persoonlijk vind ik het jammer dat er geen push pull systeem opzit voor het splitten van de humbuckers . Veder is het een briljanten gitaar met een enorme diversiteit aan tone/geluid soorten . Veder is het trem systeem absoluut geweldig als de snaren zijn ingespeeld kan je soms wel weken spelen zonder de Locking nut los te hoeven maken . en hoeveel divebombs je ook doet hij blijft prakties gezien altijd ik tune . Los daarvan vind ik de slagplaat prachtig en zeker in combi met die prachtige bruine body waar je de nerven van het hout nog doorheen ziet lopen . de hals is echt heel dun (ja wat had je dan verwacht het is een wizard hals ) en het fredboord zelf is ook prachtig met mijn favorieten fredbord inlay ooit (ja ik weet dat bijna elke jem dat heeft ) maar deze jem heeft een stuk palissander waar de witte nerven in te zien zijn een klein detail maar ow zo prachtig En best for last die prachtige humbucker cover
