General

With the ART-120, Ibanez serve up a single-cut solid-body electric guitar that looks and feels familiarly classic while packed with a handful of welcome, modern upgrades. The double-humbucker plus three-way pickup switch configuration is certainly a tried-and-true tonal foundation, but you're also getting volume pots per pickup and a shared master tone control. For a trusty feel and the ability to both play chords and do a little occasional note-bending, the string nut has been kept 1.69 inches wide, while the fretboard radius measures a satisfying 12 inches and the scale length is a relatively short 24.7 inches. The specially-treated pine fretboard sits on an ART-style maple neck, which has been glued to a solid poplar body and, along with this unique combination of wood types used for the build, two mounted double-coil Infinity R pickups give you a decidedly fat yet clearly defined sound.
