The Newark St. Collection Surfliner: Versatile Vintage Sound

What sets this guitar apart from other ST-style solid-bodies is its light offset shape, which might as well have been pulled straight out of the fifties or sixties. The classic in-line tuners are a great match, and the stability provided by the strings-through-body Tune-O-Matic-style bridge is definitely another welcome perk. The most impressive part of the Surfliner, however, has to be the electronics. In addition to a bright-and-beefy double-coiled LB-1 pickup at the bridge, this Newark St. Collection guitar has been armed with two DeArmond Aerosonic Alnico V single-coils, all of which can be isolated at will using the three fitted pickup toggle switches.
