General

In tribute to the early years of one of the most influential guitarists in the history of rock, this is the Limited Edition Gretsch Malcolm Young Signature Jet. Young's original Jet, which he affectionately dubbed 'The Beast', can be heard on much of AC/DC's early work, and here, it's been replicated with sensitive accuracy, spoiling AC/DC devotees as well as Gretsch connoisseurs with a superbly versatile throwback-treat of a guitar.

Legendary Tone

The sound as well as the look of this model has been slapped with Malcolm Young's incomparable signature. Massive, legendary tone is doled out in spades by an authentic TV Jones Starwood humbucker sandwiched between two TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity humbuckers. This fat setup serves up a fatter output that can be varied every which way via individual volume pots per pickup, a master volume switch, and a set of three-way switches for toggling the pickups, the tone, and standby. This meaty configuration has been mounted atop a chambered mahogany body with a maple top, which doesn't just boost resonance but lightens the load.

High-Quality Build

The neck has been given a classic U-profile and finished with an ebony fretboard, and bears the comfy playing feel of a set of twenty-two medium-jumbo frets, while the 12 inch radius ensures maximum control whether chugging chords or spitting solos. The hardware also sticks close to the original recipe, so you're getting a vintage sixties vibrato bridge, specially gilded Schaller machine heads, and a vintage-flavoured paint-job - all topped off by a Harmonica-Style Adjust-O-Matic bridge
