General

The Jet Club is a budget-friendly edition of the Gretsch Jet. Despite its much more affordable price, to a large extent this guitar still produces the unique Gretsch sound. The Jet Club has the same neat finish as most other Gretsch guitars - a constant reminder that a decent Gretsch instrument does not necessarily have to cost a great deal of money.

The Gretsch G5426 Jet Club

As opposed to the original Jet - which has a set neck - the Jet Club features a bolt-on neck. To create a true hollow-body sound, the guitar is equipped with a chambered body: a hollowed out solid piece of wood. The body of the G5426 is made of basswood and features an arched maple top, resulting in a sound that strongly resembles that of the original Gretsch Jet.

Hardware and finish

The electric Jet Club is equipped with two humbucker pickups with a Filter'Tron look, while an Adjustomatic bridge allows for easy intonation. A fixed tail piece ensures increased sustain and elegant white bindings adorn the body and neck of the guitar. The neck is fitted with classic thumbnail inlays, so you can easily find the right position while you're playing. Like all Gretsch products, the G5426 Jet Club has a pristine finish - in this case, the manufacturer has opted for a stylish silver colour.

Ik speelde gisteren een eerste maal op de gitaar en ze voldoet aan de verwachtingen...ze ligt perfect in de hand en geeft een prima geluid... I even like the colour...:)

Uiteindelijk de knoop door gehakt. Ik koop een nieuwe gitaar na veel zoeken ivm budget. Ik had een andere gitaar op het oog. Getest en ... nee dit ging hem niet worden.
De Gretsch hing er ook met kortingslabel erop. Zilver kleur is niet mijn ding in eerste instantie doch het is redelijk neutraal in het echt ten opzichte van het plaatje op de website.
De gitaar klink goed. Hij zingt in mijn handen en ik was verkocht.
Warme klank over de versterker. De gitaar zet me aan tot soleren wat niet mijn ding is/was.

Korting gekregen ivm lakschade op een paar plaatsen.
In eerste instantie er een set snaren 0.10 erop gezet.
Afgelopen weekend er 0.11 set van d adario erop en de element hoogte aangepast.
Helemaal blij .

Ik was op zoek naar een vervanger van mijn Squier gitaar, maar voor een betaalbare prijs. Toen kwam dezs gitaar in beeld. Normaal probeer ik altijd eerst de gitaar uit voordat ik hem koop, maar deze keer de gok gewaagd.

Ik moet zeggen, ik heb er totaal geen spijt van. Komt redelijk goed afgesteld uit de doos en na wat stemmen klinkt hij perfect. Mooie volle klank en materialen zien er goed en degelijk uit.

Mooie gitaar voor een mooie prijs!

Na zo'n 15 jaar op een oude afgedankte Ibanez werd het voor mij tijd om een nieuwe gitaar te kopen.

Nu wilde ik alsnog geen gigantische bedragen betalen voor een gitaar, maar ik wilde wel een goed merk. Ik kwam toen al snel uit bij deze Gretsch.

De gitaar heeft het authentieke geluid van een Gretsch, maar doordat dit een massa-productielijn is betaal je niet de hoofdprijs voor een prima gitaar.

Standaard zitten er D'Addario XL110 Regular Light, NPS (.010-.046 Gauges) op. Dit zijn prima snaren, maar zelf heb ik ze al snel vervangen voor Ernie Ball M-Steel Regular Slinky 10-46. Deze halen een nog voller geluid uit je gitaar.

Over het algemeen een goede gitaar voor een goede prijs. Zowel voor beginners, maar ook voor gevorderden.
