General

Gretsch's Electromatic Collection series features an extensive range of affordable editions of famous Gretsch classics. The Gretsch Guitars Electromatic G5439 Pro Jet is based on the familiar design of the Duo Jet from the 1950s, and features a stunning Silver Sparkle finish, chrome hardware and attractive hump-block inlays. Featuring the characteristically open and clear Gretsch sound with full mids and a tight low-end, the G5439 Pro Jet is suited for many genres within the rock spectrum.

Construction of the Electromatic G5439 Pro Jet Silver Sparkle

At first glance, the Gretsch Guitars Electromatic G5439 Pro Jet Silver Sparkle seems to have a slim, solid body. Looks can be deceiving, though: the basswood body is chambered, creating a lightweight feel and an open, almost acoustic tone. The arched top and the neck are made of maple, adding a nicely aggressive and tight edge to the overall sound of the guitar, and the 22-fret rosewood set fingerboard provides additional sustain.

Pickups

The Gretsch Guitar Electromatic G5439 Pro Jet Silver Sparkle is equipped with a set of original Gretsch FilterTron pickups, which provide a high output and a pleasantly sparkling sound, and are suitable for a wide range of music genres. The sound of the guitar can be adjusted by means of a three-way pickup switch, a volume knob per pickup, a master tone knob and a master volume knob.
