General

This G&L Tribute ASAT Special was modelled after a famous '50s classic. It sports an exceptional Blueburst lacquer as well as several innovative improvements such as MFD pickups and a Saddle Lock bridge. The body of the ASAT Special is made of lightweight ash, giving this guitar an open tone and ensuring great playing comfort. Its maple neck (with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard) is dead-straight and great to play. No matter your playing style, the ASAT Special ensures hours of unhindered playing pleasure.

G&L ASAT Special: innovative pickups

The ASAT Special is equipped with two specially designed P90-style Magnetic Field Design pickups that are surprisingly quiet compared to conventional single-coils. Moreover, the magnets are adjustable in height so that you can the output per string for an optimally balanced volume. These MFD pickups produce a clear, airy sound with a properly high output, making them perfect for both tight cleans and fat distortion.

G&L Saddle Lock bridge for more sustain

The bridge is a work of true craftsmanship, it is designed to transfer the vibrations of the strings to the body in the best way possible thanks to a small screw on its side that allows you to lock the saddles into the bridge, making them vibrate as a whole and thus greatly improve resonance and sustain.
