General

How about combining single-coil sparkle with humbucker warmth? This is exactly the thought behind the creation of the G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy. This electric guitar is modelled after the classic T model from the fifties. It is a solid-body guitar, with a single cutaway and a bolt-on neck, that is characterised by its tight, bright, clear sound. This G&L Bluesboy version, however, has a humbucker pickup in the neck position, making it a perfect instrument for sultry jazz sounds, crunchy blues and even proper rock leads. It is available in both a a Sunburst and this Lake Placid Blue finish.

G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy: a closer inspection

The body of this light blue G&L Tribute ASAT Classic Bluesboy is made of basswood, a wood type known for its comfortably light weight and tight tone with rich mids. The maple neck features a comfortable profile and a 22-fret rosewood fretboard for rounder trebles. Both of the pickups on this guitar were designed by G&L. There's a Magnetic Field Design single-coil with height-adjustable magnets for optimal volume balance at the bridge and an alnico humbucker in the neck position for those who are looking for output and warmth.

G&L guitars

The G&L Musical Instruments brand name comes from the initials of its two founders: George Fullerton and Leo Fender. The latter - a veritable guitar-world celebrity - considered G&L instruments to be his very best. G&L guitars are comparable to Leo Fender's earlier creations, but they all feature a modern twist. Both G&L's USA series as their affordable Tribute series are highly regarded among musicians.
