General

Crafted for contemporary guitarists with a taste for heavy styles, the J-Standard Iliad Dark Evolution from FGN Guitars comes with seven strings and a solid set of Fishman Fluence Modern pickups fitted to a stylish, open-pore-finished ash body. This combination results in ultra-tight, forceful tone with enhanced low-end definition, and comes backed up by a push/pull tone control that toggles between two voicings, so you can scroll through collections of traditional and more modern sounds.

The Iliad Dark Evolution: Circle Fretting System

The team at FGN have opted for a standard scale length of 25.5" and a maple neck with a snug U-profile, guaranteeing an immediately trusty feel for players who're used to a 6-string axe. Also, the 13.75" fretboard radius and 24 jumbo frets take the playability of the Iliad Dark Evolution even further while, thanks to the innovative Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.), the strings are guided across the frets at the optimal angle. This way, each string makes minimum contact with the frets for maximum clarity and note articulation.
