General

It is the one that started it all - Fender's first solid body guitar, the Telecaster. This iconic guitar model has been around since the '50s and is still being rediscovered by guitarists today. To offer Fender quality to beginners and professionals on a budget, Fender started their Standard series. This Fender Standard Telecaster in classic Arctic White is an affordable version of the legendary 1951 classic. Made in Mexico and fitted with several modern upgrades.

Fender Standard Telecaster: solid construction

Despite its low price, this Mexican Fender has some stunning specifications. Its body is made of solid alder, which is lightweight and produces a balanced tone rich in mids. The neck of the Fender Standard Telecaster is made of a solid piece of maple which means that the fretboard shares the lacquer finish, giving the whole a beautiful vintage look. The one-piece maple neck combined with the single-coil pickup in the bridge position and strings-through-body construction gives the guitar its distinctive clear bite and bright, punchy sound.

Modern improvements

Beneath its vintage guise you'll find several modern modifications. The Fender Standard Telecaster's two pickups have been given more output for a rawer sound making this guitar suitable for rock and rougher types of music in addition to country and blues. All the recesses for the electronics are fully shielded to prevent the 50Hz hum. Furthermore, the bridge has six adjustable saddles instead of three, for an optimal adjustment and intonation. Lastly, the neck is equipped with medium jumbo frets and a flatter 9.5-inch radius for more comfortable playing.
