General

The Stratocaster has been around for more than sixty years. Early models are in great demand but they are getting harder and harder to find, and more and more expensive to buy. The Fender Postmodern series offers instruments with an authentic vintage look combined with modern playing comfort. This model is a Journeyman Relic with a Dakota Red finish and maple fretboard. The quarter sawn maple neck has the familiar feel of a well-played instrument and is easy to play thanks to its rounded heel and compound fretboard radius. This American Custom Shop Fender is for Stratocaster fans who are looking for a splendid instrument that's great to play.

Custom Shop Postmodern Relic: Tone Saver and Fat '60s pickups

A lightweight ash body gives this Postmodern series instrument its typical versatile Strat tones. Its thin layer of nitrocellulose lacquer allows the wood to breathe so that the resonance retains its natural character. Three Custom Shop Fat '60s single-coil pickups are extra wound for a bit of extra output. The middle pickup is reverse wound with reverse polarity. This prevents unwanted hum when the 5-way pickup switch is in position 2 or 4. High frequencies remain unchanged even at low volumes thanks to the volume potentiometer's Tone Saver treble-bleed circuit.

Custom Shop Postmodern Journeyman Relic

With the Postmodern Series, the Fender Custom Shop's goal is to produce classic guitar models like the Stratocaster and Telecaster with the latest features. All of the models have a round, laminated, maple fretboard with a compound radius that goes from 9.5 to 12 inches. The Relic versions have a lightly weathered finish. The result is a contemporary classic with the characteristics of a vintage guitar that has been well loved and played. Together with this top-quality instrument, you will receive a luxury case, a guitar strap, an instrument cable, a CruzTools Tool kit and a certificate of authenticity.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
