General

To get the Fender Player Plus Telecaster, you have to mash the traditional up with the modern. Classic looks meet slick and agile, contemporary playability in the flatter 12 inch fretboard radius and a lightly widened nut; the rounded fretboard edges and set of 22 medium frets; and the satin-gloss that coats the back of the neck. The elevated Fender Player Plus Telecaster comes complete with a deluxe gig bag.

The Player Plus Telecaster: Noiseless Single-Coils

While already notorious for its tonal flexibility, this fully pumped-up Player Plus edition Telecaster takes things that bit further. So, the alder body comes armed with a pair of Noiseless™ Tele® pickups that deliver that familiar warm twang without any of the buzz and hum that usually comes with it, and on top of that, the push/pull tone pot can be popped out to shift these next-gen singe-coils into series and inject the output with more power and body. Meanwhile, the fixed bridge and six adjustable saddles lay on a bright accent while supporting accurate intonation, and have been teamed up with a full set of locking machine heads for maximum tuning stability.

Wrote the following about Fender Player Plus Telecaster PF Silver Smoke Electric Guitar with Deluxe Gig Bag

Heb de gitaar nu net een week en ben erg tevreden qua prijs kwaliteit verhouding.
De gitaar hals is erg fijn.
Niet zo dik zoals bij bepaalde Mexicaanse modellen dus dit is voor mij perfect.
Het lijkt heel erg op mijn USA Strat hals en speelt makkelijk weg.

De klank is erg prettig.
Ook de push-pull functie is fijn om erbij te hebben. Het geluid wordt wat voller en warmer waarbij de hoge tonen worden afgevlakt. Werkt zeer fijn met overdrive!

De gitaar ziet er prachtig uit.
Wel vindt ik dat de zilveren vlakken wat 'witter' zijn in het echt dan op het plaatje.

Ik vond tijdens mijn eerste 'gig' dat ik regelmatig de gitaar moest stemmen. Ja het heeft locking tuners maar dat is meer voor het gemak dan de stabiliteit. De tuners vind ik tot nu toe niet heel sterk. Zeker vergeleken met mijn USA strat. Die kan ik 3 weken niet aanraken en is nog steeds strak in tune.

Verder heb ik het vreemde fenomeen dat de slagplaat bij mij statische elektriciteit afgeeft/creëert. Dit hoor je in het geluid. Dus tijdens het spelen hoor ik via de versterker 'geknetter' wat statische elektriciteit is. Niet heel hard of veel maar het is er wel. Dus ik laat hier nog naar kijken door een gitaar luthier. Zou iets met 'shielding' kunnen zijn of misschien de slagplaat.
De hals was wel erg droog nadat het was uitgepakt. Maar niets wat een oliebeurtje niet kon oplossen.

Ik heb onlangs een tele performer en ultra geprobeerd. De performer had minimaal verschil in mijn optiek maar was wel 500 euro duurder. De Ultra had qua sound en speelgemak wel echt een voorsprong maar dat was mij geen extra 1200,- waard.

Al met al dus erg tevreden!
