Ready to trade in your axe for something a little more modern, flexible and playable? Check out the all-new Fender Player Plus Stratocaster HSS! As the name suggests, this solid alder-bodied electric guitar features an HSS pickup configuration: a commanding Noiseless™ Strat® humbucker teamed up with two single-coils of the same breed, where you can just flip the push/pull tone pot to coil-split the humbucker for even more tonal options.
The Player Plus Stratocaster HSS: A Modern Experience
Fender have treated the Player Plus Series Strat to a maple neck with a Modern C profile and rounded fretboard edges, resulting in a played-in feel and a modern playing experience whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned session guitarist. On top of that, the 12" fretboard radius is flatter than the standard 9.5" Strat radius, and combines with 22 medium jumbo frets and a slightly-wider-than-average string nut for masses of comfort and playability.
Aimed at Ambitious Musicians
With the Player Plus Stratocaster HSS, it's clear that Fender focus on go-getter guitarists. The instrument comes professionally finished with a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo bridge fitted with steel block saddles to accommodate tasty vibratos, plus a set of short-post locking tuners and a Posiflex™ truss rod to seal up the stability all across the board.

Wat mij wel opviel was een lichte waas naast de fretten. Dit bleek bij nader onderzoek de uitgelopen coating te zijn die over de fretten heen zit. Met een goede poetsbeurt is dit prima te verwijderen. De klank is heel erg goed en de gitaar heeft veel sustain. De brug pick-up in coil split is wel heel glassy, maar zo heb je in ieder geval het echte Strat-geluid. De toonstabiliteit is heel erg hoog door de locking tuners en door de noiseless pick-ups is er geen nare hum.
Het is in mijn optiek de beste gitaar voor een muzikant die regelmatig optreed. Ik raad dit instrument zeker aan!
