General

Many vintage instruments from the fifties are made of a west-African type of hardwood named limba or korina. This Blonde Telecaster sound is as warm as that of a mahogany specimen, with the distinctively short twang that Telecasters had in their early days. Original Korina Telecasters are growing ever more rare. Luckily, Fender re-issued the famed Korina Telecaster in a limited number. The result is a pure, defined tone from a legendary Fender instrument.

American Vintage '52 Telecaster Korina

If you are looking for the best of both worlds, you're in luck, as this tonally rich wood type combines the open harmonic sound of ash and alder with the warmth and elegance of heavier wood types like mahogany and walnut. Korina is a balanced timber with a great resonance and warm harmonics that never gets as heavy or woolly as other hard woods tend to do. Korina retains its open sound, with plenty of definition and sustain, making this a truly exceptional American Vintage Telecaster.

Playability

Clad in a Blackguard Blonde finish with a Bakelite pickguard and maple neck, this classic looks as beautiful as it sounds. Additionally, the bridge features copper saddles for lengthier sustain and the neck has a modern U shape for excellent playability. This instrument comes very close to the original Tele envisioned by Leo Fender. This American thoroughbred comes with a case.
