General

Together with Johnny Marr (The Smiths, Brian Ferry, The Pretenders), Fender have developed a metallic orange signature guitar that has its roots in the traditional asymmetrical Jaguar style. However, in some respects, the Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Metallic KO RW deviates from the classic Leo Fender design.

Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Metallic KO: comfortable and warm

This Jaguar is fitted with a maple neck and has an alder body. The short-scale neck has a rosewood fretboard with 22 vintage-style frets and a classic 7.25-inch radius. This produces a smooth, warm-sounding tone that still manages to cut easily through the mix. The extra-deep belly cut and the saddles of a Fender Mustang make this Jaguar a remarkably comfortable instrument.

Comfort and playing pleasure

The specially designed Bare Knuckle single-coils are based on one of Johnny Marr's own Jaguars from 1962. As an added extra, the pickup switch can be toggled into 4th position for a humbucker sound from under the bridge. The highs of this electric guitar are accentuated by the use of a high-pass filter and treble boost and the tuning is made even more reliable thanks to nylon inserts under the bridge. The Johnny Marr Jaguar guarantees comfort and playing pleasure.

Wrote the following about Fender Johnny Marr Jaguar Metallic KO RW

Very nice guitar, only two 'quibbles': the plastic pickup switch cap was so loose I've had to hold it in place with blutac to stop it falling off (and at this price you think Fender could have gone for real metal here, rather than just silver coloured plastic), also be aware that the Mustang bridge spacing is so wide that the top and bottom strings are VERY close to the edge of the neck. Personally, I've replaced my bridge with an alternate Staytrem bridge with better spacing - costs a few extra quid, but worth it. Those issues aside, this plays and sounds great, and even if you need to do a couple of adjustments to get the most out of it, I'd still recommend it.
