Just in case you not only want to sound but look more like Johnny Marr, Fender present a special signature edition of the famed guitarist's own Jaguar model. This is the Johnny Marr Jaguar dipped in Fever Dream Yellow. Specially made for guitarists who love a traditionally styled offset guitar, the striking finish of this Jaguar RW isn't the only thing that makes this model stand out from non-signature models.
The Johnny Marr Jaguar: Deeper Belly Contour and Custom 1965 Neck
The Johnny Marr Jaguar has an alder body with a deeper belly contour for optimal playing comfort, while the maple neck has a custom profile that's based on Johnny's own 1965 Jaguar model. The rosewood fretboard has a 7.25-inch radius and combines with 22 vintage-style frets for an unmistakably vintage feel, with the carefully selected wood giving the guitar a balanced sound with a touch of delicious creaminess in the upper registers.
Bare Knuckle Pickups & Mustang Bridge Saddles
When it comes to tone, the specially-wound Bare Knuckle pickups are based on single-coils from a 1962 Jaguar. The 4-way blade pickup switch allows you to isolate the pickups or drop the bridge and neck pickups in series or in parallel to mimic a humbucker, which can then be treble-boosted as needed, or you can turn to the high-pass filter to bring out that legendary Fender bite in all of its glory. To ensure excellent tuning stability, Fender have installed Mustang-style bridge saddles with special nylon bridge-post inserts as a welcome finishing touch.
