General
Built to fight the law and lose before rocking the Casbah, the Fender Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster comes loaded with the right hardware, the right electronics, and has the look of a model that's been beaten within an inch of its life. Every bit has been hand-aged, from the machine heads and the bridge to the pickguard and the Road Worn Nitrocellulose Lacquer paint-job - all to mimic the 1966 Tele that never left the hands of the Clash frontman. The Strummer Signature comes wrapped up in its own vintage-style hardshell case.
The Fender Joe Strummer Telecaster: Combat Rock
The relic finish isn't just about aesthetics, but gives this tribute-of-a-Tele an immediately comfy, played-in feel. The sixties neck profile, the old-school 7.25 inch radius of the rosewood fretboard and the set of twenty-one vintage frets don't do any harm either. Just like Joe's original Tele, this model features a vintage bridge with six barrel saddles, while two exclusively developed Custom Single-Coil Tele pickups ensure uncompromising, biting and growling, throwback tone.
