This Fender FSR Limited Edition '50s Stratocaster has the look and feel of an original '50s model and it's been given gold-coloured hardware for an extra touch of style.

Three American Vintage '56 single-coil Strat pickups are responsible for delivering the lively vintage sound to your amplifier and with 1 master volume control, 2 tone controls and a 5-way pickup switch to work with, you can enjoy a wdie variety of sounds. Wrote the following about Fender FSR Limited Edition '50s Stratocaster Fiesta Red GH MN

Ik ben geen fantastische gitarist maar ik geniet van een toffe gitaar en zeker één uit de periode dat ik ben opgegroeid met muziek zoals The Shadows. Louter toevallig eigenlijk is deze gitaar de Hank Marvin gitaar geworden. Toen ik nog in een bandje speelde was deze, en trouwens alle andere Fenders, onbetaalbaar. Wij moesten het doen met goedkope Japanese namaak. Maar iedereen wilde zo'n rode Strat. Vandaag heb ik al enkele van mijn droomgitaren zelf gebouwd en deze stond ook nog op mijn lijstje. Toch maar eens gereserveerd om eens uit te proberen en ik ben zeer aangenaam verrast. Ik heb al andere Mexicaanse Fenders gezien en gekocht, en de kwaliteit en afwerking is zeer goed. Zelfs beter dan in de CBS periode. Enig minpuntje dat ik later thuis heb ondervonden is dat de cover tremolo plate achteraan niet echt recht gemonteerd was, maar voor zo'n klein afwerkingsfoutje ga ik ze niet wisselen.
De gitaar ligt me helemaal, zowel qua sound als wat de neck betreft. Een soft V met vrij kleine radius. Ik heb ondertussen ondervonden dat een V en een U neck met kleinere radius me beter liggen dan de standaard C neck met grotere radius. Ik ben waarschijnlijk een buitenbeentje.
De afstelling van fabriek was niet slecht maar eerder bruut, ik heb ze toch nog iets fijner getuned. Ook de sound van de vintage pickups is een must om in de collectie van een Fender fanaat te zitten. Ik heb een 1954 Strat zelf gebouwd en daar heb ik de Kinman pickups inzitten van Hank Marvin. Ik overweeg deze misschien om te wisselen met de rode Strat, dan is het echt The Shadows gitaar.
