General

Fender's FSR American Standard Telecaster has several marvellous features you won't find on their standard models. For instance, it features a unique channel-bound neck and compound radius fretboard. This limited edition model is equipped with a Custom Shop Broadcaster single-coil pickup in the neck position and a Custom Shop Twisted Tele single-coil in the bridge position. These put the renowned, classic Telecaster twang at your fingertips. Featuring a beautiful Dakota Red finish. Although it was originally designed for country musicians, its wide tonal character made it gain quick popularity in virtually any style of music. Despite it classic, straightforward looks, this iconic guitar is an exceptionally versatile instrument.

A Telecaster with special features

One of the most notable features of this limited edition Telecaster is its channel-bound neck - the fretboard is laid into the neck instead of being glued on which ensures it follows the curve of the maple neck excellently. The result is an improved resonance like the one you get from one-piece neck guitars. The sides of the oiled neck feel smooth, for increased playing comfort. Additionally, this Telecaster features a compound fretboard radius that is curved at lower positions, for easier chord playing. At the higher positions the fretboard is flatter, allowing for bends without loss of tones. Fender designed this guitar to comply with the modern guitarist's standards. The result is a modern Telecaster you can rely on.

About the American Standard series

The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound. The Fender American Standard Telecaster comes with an instrument cable, a guitar strap, a polishing cloth and a luxury case.
