General

The Fender Custom Shop 1970 Relic Stratocaster is a faithful reproduction of an American Strat from the '70s. For authenticity, Fender's master builders have only used the techniques and tools that were available at the time to manufacturer this instrument. Lake Placid Blue is one of the most striking colours Fender uses for its instruments. Originally, this colour was used by Cadillac in the '50s. Depending on the way the light falls on it, the colour can vary from a dark Midnight Blue to a light Baby Blue! This top-quality Custom Shop Stratocaster from Fender's Time Machine series is sure to delight aficionados because of the attention to detail that has gone into making this model.

Fender 1970 Relic Stratocaster: versatile workhorse

The Stratocaster has earned its stripes thanks to its versatile sound. That's one of the reasons Fender has chosen an alder body for this guitar. Alder has good resonance which gives the instrument a clear and powerful sound. The sound is picked up by three Fat '60s single-coils that offer a wide range of versatile sounds. To prevent unwanted noise when the pickup switch is in the intermediate postions, the middle pickup has reverse polarity. The guitar features a beautiful quarter sawn maple neck with a 1969 U profile that completes the look. Thanks to the narrow string nut and narrow jumbo frets, it is very comfortable to play.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
