It's a 1957 Relic Stratocaster from Fender's Custom Shop Time Machine series. For authenticity, they even used the same techniques and tools that were available back then to make it! The guitar has undergone the Custom Shop's Relic treatment to give it the authentic look and feel of a guitar that has been well used and loved. A genuine Stratocaster from 1957 is extremely hard to find and very expensive to buy, even if you do manage to track one down. This Custom Shop model is the next best thing.

Fender 1957 Relic Stratocaster: Familiar feeling

A Stratocaster is so recognisable that you could probably identify it by feel alone. This model has a '57-style body with deep contours for optimal comfort. Fender has chosen Select Alder for its excellent tonal properties that give this Strat its versatile character. A set of three Custom Shop hand-wound, single-coil pickups offer a variety of sounds, from sparkling cleans to sultry blues to hard rock. The neck is made of quarter sawn maple and has a light V profile. Playing comfort is further enhanced by the narrow string nut, the relatively rounded fretboard radius and the narrow jumbo frets. With the American Vintage synchronised tremolo you can add vibrato effects to your heart's content.
