With this model, the Fender Custom Shop takes you back to a time when the Stratocaster heralded a new era for the electric guitar. The design of the Strat is so good that it's still one of the most popular models today. This Limited Edition 1955 Relic Stratocaster Dirty White Blonde from Fender perfectly captures the specifications and charm of models from that time. Thanks to the Relic treatment, this guitar has the appearance of a real vintage instrument. An original Strat from the '50s is almost impossible to find these days, and very expensive to buy, even if you do manage to track one down. This model, from Fender's Custom Shop, is a fantastic alternative to an original for any Strat fan looking for a work of art.

1955 Relic Stratocaster: eye for detail

Just like an original Strat from the '50s, this model is made of ash. This type of wood is lightweight and has excellent resonance. It also gives this 1955 Strat its characteristic sparkling sound with a firm bite. The neck is made for comfort with its 9.5 inch fretboard radius and 21 narrow jumbo frets. The Relic finish on the back of the neck also gives this instrument a familiar well-played feel. From bright cleans to fat overdrive, three Custom Shop hand-wound single-coil pickups deliver a versatile pure Strat sound you'd expect from a real Fender.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
