General

If the 'standard' Classic Player Baja Telecaster wasn't vintage enough for your taste, you should definitely consider Fender's Classic Player Baja '60s Telecaster in Faded Sonic Blue. Fender's master guitar builder Chris Fleming personally saw to it that this sixties version is vintage '60s through and through. Its V-profile neck has been swapped for one with a comfortable C profile and its fretboard is made of rosewood rather than maple. Also, this guitar now has two American Vintage pickups mounted to its alder body.

Classic Player Baja '60s FSN: high-quality features

Those familiar with the luxurious American Vintage series will be pleased to see that this affordable Classic Player guitar is equipped with an American Vintage '52 Tele and a '58 Tele pickup. These pickups ensure professional sounds that are virtually identical to those of the original Telecaster pickups. At the same time, the Baja sports modern features such as the Fender S1 switch. Via this push-pull switch, that is fully integrated in the volume knob, you can out-phase the pickup switch's positions 2 and 4, creating a thinner sound that is familiar from good-old-fashioned blues.

Classic Player series guitars

Guitars from the Classic Player series, sprung from the Classic line, are modelled after traditional Telecasters, Stratocasters, Jazzmasters and Jaguars, but are extra notable because of the addition of several special, modern features. For instance, they offer a choice from a broad selection of pickups (ranging from classic pickups to modern, high-output versions), and each model features a relatively flat fretboard radius for extra comfortable playing. Additionally, instruments from this series - introduced in 2006 - are characterised by a vintage-style neck profile.
