General

Fender gave the American Standard series guitars a huge upgrade. This Telecaster, for instance, was fitted with a set of brilliantly sounding Custom Shop pickups plus a Stratocaster-style contour on the back of the body for more comfort during playing. This Crimson Red Transparent edition sets itself apart from the other Teles from the series by its beautifully grained ash body. Ash provides fuller bass sounds and more sparkling trebles than the alder bodies. On top of that, this version has a rosewood fretboard that gives it a warmer sound than its maple counterpart. This guitar comes with a sturdy case, a Fender guitar strap, a guitar cable and a polishing cloth.

Authentic Tele sound with Strat vibe

The two Custom Shop pickups on the American Standard Telecaster are a Broadcaster in the bridge position and a Twisted Tele in the neck position. The Broadcaster provides that authentic Tele sound that is best described as tight and clear with an aggressive, biting tone. Excellently suited for the sparkling cleans you'll find in countrymusic and rock-a-billy, and hard rock distortion. The Twisted Tele pickup leans more towards a Stratocaster single coil, as it provides more output than a Tele neck pickup and sounds a lot more wicked, providing a better balance with the bridge pickup. Additionally, this guitar has a three-way pickup switch, a volume and a tone knob. The tone knob is a no-load potentiometer that'll take itself out of the circuit on position 10, making it sound like there's no tone control at all and thus providing a purer, clearer, more raw sound.

Modern embodiment of a timeless classic

Even though they have a high regard for tradition, Fender often applies the latest technology to make their guitars sound and play even better. The neck of this American Standard Telecaster provides you with more comfort during playing thanks to its 22 medium jumbo frets, a relatively flat 9.5-inch fretboard radius an a Bi-Flex truss rod system. This provides for a very low action without clattering or loss of strings. The comfortable hand-rolled fret edges have of course been maintained on this guitar, but the vintage-style ash tray bridge has made room for a modern version with six adjustable Strat-type saddles for optimal intonation. The bridge is attached to the body with no less than 5 screws , creating an even better transference to the lightweight ash body.
