General

The Fender American Special Stratocaster (Surf Green) is an exceptional version of the Special Strat with a maple fretboard. Ambitious blues and rock guitarists will certainly be able to appreciate the reasonably priced American Special Stratocasters. These high-quality instruments were made in the U.S.A. and feature an excellent alder body and those famous Texas Special pickups. Every American Special comes with an accessory, reliable Deluxe Gig Bag.

American Special Stratocaster: Texas Blues and Grease Bucket

The pickup configuration of this guitar consists of three single coils that produce the infamous Texas Blues sound with tight basses, clear mids and sparkling trebles. The clear-sounding maple fretboard and, of course, the beautifully balanced resonance of the alder body both contribute to the sound of this guitar. The Grease Bucket circuit is a special feature that filters out high tones without adding bass when you adjust the timbre with one of the two tone knobs.

American Special series guitars and bass guitars

It was not long ago that a demand arose for slightly more affordable American-made Fender guitars. This is why, in 2010, Fender introduced their American Special series which comes very close to the professional, popular American Standard series. They started out with the Special Telecaster and Stratocaster, but soon followed up with the Special Jazz and Precision Bass. You can expect a high-quality body and modern, especially designed hardware and pickups.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
