The American Professional Jazzmaster: V-Mod Pickups and Treble Bleed Circuit

While the Jazzmaster was originally aimed at jazz guitarists, it's better known for the considerable part it played in surf, indie, alt-rock and grunge. This ode to the original is mounted with two single-coil V-Mod pickups designed by none other than Michael Frank, the man responsible for designing the pickups in the Eric Johnson Stratocaster. They deliver a vintage-style sound that's best be described as hot and punchy with an extra touch of definition. Even when the volume is low, the tone retains brightness thanks to the Treble Bleed Circuit supported electronics.

The Controls, the Tailpiece and the Modern Deep C

This is a Jazzmaster, so you get a 3-way pickup selector switch and tone control to customise the tone as well as a floating, lockable tailpiece with tremolo for subtle vibrato effects. To lift playing comfort, this Sky Burst Metallic finished Limited Edition has an all-rosewood, Modern Deep C neck, that falls somewhere between a Modern C and a U profile while 22 narrow, tall frets make for supple action and precise intonation.
