With the new American Professional II Series, Fender present their latest collection of pro-grade models packed with all the trusty features you've come to depend on, as well as a number of welcome upgrades. While the modern Deep-C neck profile has remained unchanged, it's the freshly rounded fretboard edges and special Super-Natural finish that push the already-astronomical playability even further. Slide down to the cutaway, and you'll instantly notice how smooth it feels, since Fender have even rounded off the heel at the pocket and fully secured the asymmetrical neck plate with four screws.

When it comes to that iconically robust yet famously focused amplified Alnico sound of American Pro Strats, Fender obviously haven't overdone it with the tweaking. What they have done, though, is mount the body with three upgraded V-Mod II single-coil pickups with renewed windings. Along with this subtle sonic boost comes expanded functionality in the form of a push-push control under the volume pot, which lets you combine the single-coil sounds of the bridge and neck pickups. Other novelties of the American Professional II worth mentioning are the cold-rolled steel tremolo block and brand-new string tree.
