General

Way, way back in 1954, the very first Fender Stratocaster took its first breath. The now archetypal slim body shape, groundbreaking clarity of sound redefined the electric guitar forever after and ripped open the door to a new world of sound. The Fender American Original ‘50s Stratocaster is like an obsessive shrine to the legend and combines iconic style and innovative vintage sound with comfortably modern playability. Dressed in a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer, the wood of this American-made Strat is allowed to breathe and mature with age. Naturally, this regal instrument comes complete with its very own vintage-style hard case.

The American Original ‘50s Stratocaster: Custom Shop Pickups and Authentic Details

The three unashamedly Fat 50's single-coil Stratocaster pickups mounted on the Original provide a foundation sound worthy of its ancestors with a little added pinch of contemporary gain. To achieve this, the coils have been Formvar coated and wrapped around an Alnico 5 magnet. An authentic playing feel is shaped by the high frets and light V neck profile while the more modern 9.5-inch fretboard radius offers smoother action and enhanced sustain. The white pickguard and mounted golden hardware finish the face of this White-Blonde bombshell of a Stratocaster.
